🌿 Reset in Nature: The “Three Day Effect” Backpacking TRIPS
Feel the shift. Find your rhythm. Reset in nature.
Science backs what so many of us already know—something changes after three days in the wild. Stress hormones drop. Sleep deepens. The mind quiets. We feel more alive, more creative, and more connected. Researchers call it the Three Day Effect, and we’ve designed these trips to harness exactly that.
Each Reset in Nature trip is a 3+ day guided backpacking experience focused on helping you unplug, unwind, and reconnect with your inner and outer landscape. These trips aren’t about crushing miles or reaching peak performance—they’re about taking on a bigger challenge and letting nature do what it does best - restore.

Why “Three Days”?
Because day hikes are great—but after three days outdoors, the real magic kicks in. You start to breathe deeper. Your senses sharpen. You stop checking your phone. You laugh more, sleep better, and just feel better! This is your invitation to experience that magic—on trail, in good company, with everything you need already taken care of.

Reset in Nature: Art Loeb Trail Thru-Hike
4 Days | 3 Nights |
One of the Southeast’s most iconic backpacking routes, the Art Loeb Trail offers high ridgelines, sweeping views, and a full-spectrum hiking experience. Over 31 miles, you’ll move through deeply forested paths, cross exposed balds with 360-degree views, and summit unforgettable peaks like Black Balsam and Shining Rock.
Art Loeb Trail Thru Hike
August 22-25
This iconic trail is challenging for sure - but that’s what makes it so rewarding. Though the full 31 mile trek can be done in three days, we choose to do it over 4 days (3 nights) because we know it’s better to break up the climbs a bit.
This trip is challenging but a great fit for those with a moderate fitness level and some backpacking experience. And you don’t need to go it alone—we’ll carry the logistics, guide you through every step, and make sure you’re supported along the way.
